Talking of assassinations is the necessity of sustainable politics. It is a form of politics that democratic election cycles thought they had dealt with by the emergence of the party system. Unfortunately, the party system has become a colosseum of dirty tricks and blood sport.
Leaders around the world do not get assassinated on a whim. These are not coincidences. Groups of mercenaries do not suddenly converge upon a target. Targets are not picked at random. We talk of conspiracies as though presidents, academics or weapons inspectors only ever get assassinated in the movies.
This short monologue gives a very brief outline to some of the links on a chain that I suspect goes much deeper than I will ever manage to understand. Yet the chain is there. The evidence is in the deceased column. It is also in the cover-ups. It is in the direct ...Â
