Colossians: The Supremacy of Christ Slavery and the Bible (Part 2) — Spiritual Slavery

In this message, we continue our study of Paul’s instruction to Christian households by returning to the question of slavery in Scripture—specifically spiritual slavery.

After briefly revisiting last week’s discussion on chattel slavery, indentured servitude, and spiritual slavery, we focus our attention on Romans 6:15–23, where Paul explains that every person is enslaved to something. According to Scripture, we are either slaves of sin, which leads to death, or slaves of obedience, which leads to righteousness.
