Folks, the blizzard left us a parting gift. Twenty inches of snow on the ground. Six and a quarter fresh inches overnight. Step outside right now and you'll feel 26 degrees wrapped in that eerie silence only deep snow creates. Sunrise at 6:30 lit up a postcard. Enjoy the view.. Because the shovels come back out Wednesday.
Today is your breather. Skies clear to mostly sunny. Highs only hit 30 degrees around 3 P.M. That's 8 degrees below normal for late February. Northwest winds blow 6 to 9 miles an hour, but along Narragansett Bay, gusts punch up to 25 miles an hour this morning. By 2 P.M. Winds shift west. That shift? A quiet signal of what's brewing.
