The Nature Conservancy’s (TNC) North Carolina Chapter today announced that it will receive $67.8 million to conserve and restore peatlands, resulting in significant reductions of carbon dioxide emissions. The money is part of an historic $421 million grant award from the Environmental Protection Agency’s Climate Pollution Reduction Grants program. With Chris Edwards now to talk more in depth is Debbie Crane, Communication Director for The Nature Conservancy, North Carolina Chapter.
