If you stepped outside early this morning, you walked into a wall of fog. Dense fog blanketed the entire state overnight, dropping visibility to a quarter mile or less in spots. That fog advisory stays in effect until 10 A.M., so take it slow if you're on the roads before mid-morning. Once it burns off, you're in for a gorgeous day.
Central Virginia sees sunshine and a high near 78 degrees — that's pleasantly warm for early March. Tonight drops to 52 under clear skies. Down in Hampton Roads, partly sunny with a high near 70 degrees, cooling to 52 overnight under mostly cloudy skies. Out in Western Virginia, full sunshine pushes you to 76 degrees, falling to 50 tonight under mostly clear conditions.
