Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly. And welcome to the Virginia Weather Podcast — it's Thursday, February 26th. Grab your umbrella. Rain is already rolling in from the south. And it's about to soak the entire state. Hampton Roads gets hit first and hardest. Rain arrives around 6 A.M. And doesn't quit until early evening. You're looking at 1 to 2 inches by the time it's done — the kind of steady soaking that fills every gutter and turns parking lots into shallow lakes. Central Virginia sees steadier rain through mid-afternoon. Expect a half to three-quarters of an inch. Western Virginia gets off lighter — mostly wrapping up by early afternoon with a quarter to half an inch. Now here's the twist. Your warmest temps? They might be this morning. Hampton Roads and Central Virginia both hit 53 degrees with that southwest wind. Western Virginia climbs to 54 ...
