Good afternoon. Vermont. I'm Aaron Jolly. We're waking up to a real April fool's joke in March. Burlington is already sitting at 49 degrees—nearly 20 degrees warmer than normal. But don't get too attached to that sunshine. A warm front stalled to our southwest is dragging in a whole lot of moisture, meaning our pleasant afternoon turns into a wet, windy night. Down in Southern Vermont, you're at 48 degrees under mostly sunny skies. But rain showers roll in after 8 PM. Here's the strange part: temperatures actually rise overnight, landing in the upper 40s by midnight. Winds gust out of the southwest up to 26 miles an hour, so secure those trash cans. Sunday dries out by 8 AM, leaving you with a blustery high near 47 degrees. Central Vermont is the warm spot today, hitting 56 degrees—that's a solid 18 degrees above normal. Rain arrives by 7 PM.
