That half-inch of snow from yesterday is doing something interesting this morning. It's reacting to temperatures hovering right at 28 degrees, creating a low fog. And hidden black ice on untreated surfaces. You'll want to watch your step until about 9 A.M. That's when the sun breaks through, burns off the fog. And we get a surprisingly nice day.
In the next 24 hours. Central Vermont steals the warmth today, hitting 47 degrees — that's a solid 20 degrees above normal for early March. Southern Vermont tops out near 42, while the Northeast Kingdom climbs to 44. With light winds across the state, it's going to feel downright mild out there.
