Good morning. Maine. I'm DJ Huzz. Folks, while you were sleeping. Vermont pulled off a magic trick. Temperatures bottomed out at 7 degrees before dawn. Then rocketed up 25 degrees by the time you poured your coffee. High pressure gave us those gorgeous clear skies overnight, but that same clarity let the cold drain away fast. Now southerly winds are flooding in. and the whole state's sitting in the mid 30s. Central Vermont and the Kingdom are both at 35 to 36 degrees. Southern Vermont trails just slightly at 33. All of that runs about 7 degrees above normal for late February. In the next 24 hours. Now the real show starts tonight. A clipper system races north of us, dragging a southerly low level jet right across the state. Translation? Wind. Serious wind. The Champlain Valley gets hammered with gusts between 30 and 45 miles an hour overnight. You ...
