Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly, and welcome to the Vermont Weather Podcast. It's Sunday, February 22nd. Folks, enjoy your coffee slowly this morning. Because a nor'easter is loading up, and it's got Southern Vermont square in its sights. Right now you're stepping outside to 16 degrees and overcast skies. Feels quiet. Almost too quiet. That changes fast. Let's drive south first. If you're anywhere near Bennington or Brattleboro, this storm is coming for you tonight. Snow rolls in after dark, and by Monday morning it's the horizontal, can't see your mailbox kind. We're talking 4 to 8 inches by dawn. Then another 8 to 12 through Monday. That's potentially a foot in 24 hours. Gusts near 40 miles an hour will turn it into a white out. The National Weather Service has a Winter Storm Warning up.
