Ever since Russia began its systematic violations of treaties, agreements, and the Budapest Memorandum regarding Ukraine's sovereignty, the Kremlin has pushed to gain complete domination over the Black Sea, the Sea of Azov, Crimea, and the whole surrounding region. While the Black Sea coastline is shared by Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Georgia, and Russia, the latter of the six seems to be operating like it is, or should be, its own private lake. This panel will discuss the situation, Russia's aggression and claims, and the vital international security interests involved.
