This month we are very happy to welcome back José Leitão and Brian Johnson who have teamed up to bring us a truly fascinating addition to the Cyprianic corpus titled, ‘Seven Magic Hours of Cyprian the Mage, a study and translation of mss 174 n.155 from the Portuguese National Library, an Iberian book of Pacts and Treasure hunting’.
In today's episode José and Brian describe the history of the Cyprianic tradition, the new discoveries of the French and Spanish influences which flowed into this diabolic Portuguese Grimoire, as well as the nature of the talismanic object described within its worn and damaged pages.
