This week we leaned into the word Selah—an intentional pause to reflect, not passivity. In Psalm 46, penned by the sons of Korah during Hezekiah’s reign, Israel faced overwhelming threats from the Assyrians. Yet God heard their cry and responded by sending an angel who destroyed 185,000 soldiers and saved Jerusalem. Selah—pause and remember the God who hears and answers.

Big Idea: “Pausing to reflect on the nature of God anchors our hearts. The more we behold who He is, the deeper our trust and confidence in Jesus becomes.”

  • God’s dwelling place is us (Ps 46:4, Eph 2:22). We are His address!
  • God ends conflicts (Ps 46:9). He says, “I’ll finish it.”
