The Ranger Satellite

The Ranger Satellite was the first satellite to photograph a real, clear, close image of the surface of the Moon. NASA commissioned the creation of the Ranger with the desire to find a safe landing location for the future Apollo Missions. A total of 9 Ranger Satellites went into space, but it wasn't until the 7th Ranger Satellite that the program worked as planned. Go back in time with Mr Bob when the Ranger Satellite transmits its' first successful images back to Earth.
