As Juergen and Dietrich's military canines vanish into the storm, the soldiers are pushed to the brink, and Brockauer clings to his fading command. He takes Gottesmann just beyond the village square in search of food, leaving Mouse to translate the villagers' tome, and Juergen and Dietrich to spiral toward mutiny.
