In the next 24 hours. Down along the Gulf Coast, you're sitting at 81 degrees under mostly cloudy skies. Southeast gusts hitting 20 miles an hour. A brief rain chance around 3 P.M., but most of you stay dry. Tonight eases to 68.
Slide west into South Texas and the heat cranks up. Laredo and Cotulla are flirting with 90 to 92 degrees. That humidity pushes the heat index near 89. Your skin knows the difference even if the thermometer doesn't. Overnight holds at 69.
