Episode notes
Phil Spector was a transformative American record producer and songwriter celebrated for creating the dense, orchestral Wall of Sound production style. He rose to fame in the 1960s, working with iconic acts like The Ronettes and The Beatles, and is considered the first producer-auteur to exert total creative control over the recording process. Despite his Rock and Roll Hall of Fame legacy and massive commercial success, his later years were defined by reclusion, erratic behavior, and allegations of abuse. His career ultimately ended in disgrace following a 2009 murder conviction for the death of actress Lana Clarkson
