“I was pretty tweaked out all the time, right? Anybody else? There was no in-between. I’m either using or I’m not. His disposition while drinking resembles his normal nature but little. If we can’t be honest with ourselves, if we can’t differentiate the true from the false, how do we know what our normal nature was? Did we know what our normal nature was? I mean, lying, cheating, and thieving really is not who I am.”
