In Nehemiah 12 the wall that has been built is dedicated to the Lord. According to 2 Maccabees 1:18, the events here took place on the 25th of Kislev, about 3 months after the building of the wall was completed.

Modern thinkers such as ourselves are conditioned with a separation of church/state mindset, so why dedicate a city wall? What does that have to do with the Lord? And yet for them all of life was spiritual.

This video will consider the similarity between work and worship in the Jewish mind, and the sameness of the secular and sacred too.
