In Leviticus 14 we continue thinking about leprosy, but this time the aftermath of healing and the cure. This is the second longest chapter in Leviticus with 57 verses. Leprosy is really a symbol of sin, which is so pervasive in our lives and hard to remove. And with that in mind, we now realise that we should be excluded from the camp. We are all lepers in God’s sight and not safe to include. We are in need not just of forgiveness from sin, but cleansing.
In 1 John 1:8-9 it says that he will “forgive AND cleanse” us from all unrighteousness. In the blood of Christ is both the power to forgive us and to heal. For our healing from sin we have to go to God alone. There is no human way that this can be achieved, only on our knees at the foot of the ...
