In Leviticus 13 we talk about skin diseases, and the general category of leprosy. This isn’t necessarily the leprosy we know of today as Hansen’s disease, but a group of skin diseases which include that.

In 2021 the world is in the grip of the COVID pandemic and governments have very strict rules about how to live, so as to prevent the disease from spreading. So looking back at this chapter we see God’s wisdom at work to protect the nation of Israel from infectious diseases too. As tough as it is being under restrictions, with social distance, face masks, sanitization, quarantining and much more, and we can all relate to that, we also see the wisdom of it.
