He discusses three common paths people often take—family, knowledge, and good deeds—thinking they will lead to God. However, Alex reminds us that no matter how hard we try, these paths cannot bring us to God. The good news is that Jesus Christ came down to meet us where we are. As John 14:6 says, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Instead of trying to climb the mountain to reach God, we are invited to trust in Jesus, who made the way for us.
