A cut-off low spinning off the Pacific is sliding north along the California coast today. Think of it like a storm passing just south of us — we catch the edge, but only if you're in the southern half of the state.
In the next 24 hours. Right now, you're looking at 39 degrees under mostly clear skies. Patchy frost may form by dawn as we dip to 36 degrees.
In the Willamette Valley, clouds roll in through the morning. Highs reach 55 degrees. Rain holds off until after midnight, when a chance of showers sneaks in. Lows drop to 42 degrees.
Push south to the Southern Willamette Valley and you're in the bull's-eye. Rain becomes likely this afternoon and sticks around through tonight. Highs near 50 degrees. Lows hold at 42 degrees. Sunday looks even wetter here with rain likely and highs near 57 degrees.
