Sex trafficking is a heinous form of exploitation that involves the recruitment, transportation, and/or harboring of individuals for the purpose of sexual exploitation. It is a global problem that affects millions of people every year. It can involve physical force, coercion, abduction, fraud, deception, or abuse of power.

Sex trafficking victims are often forced to engage in commercial sex acts against their will and without proper compensation. Traffickers use violence and threats to control their victims and keep them in a vulnerable state. Victims may also be subjected to psychological abuse such as humiliation or intimidation.
