We're waking up to the tail end of overnight rain. You picked up nearly half an inch since yesterday. And if you're stepping outside right now? Overcast skies, 39 degrees. And fog thick enough to make your morning commute feel like driving through a cloud. Coastal areas have it worst — visibility down to a mile or less.
The rain wraps up early this morning, but don't expect the sun to make an appearance. Clouds stick around all day. North Jersey tops out at 44 degrees with patchy fog through the morning and a slight chance of drizzle. Central Jersey climbs to 47 with fog lingering into the afternoon. South Jersey reaches 44 with widespread fog before 1 P.M., then patchy fog and a slight chance of rain. Northeast winds around 10 miles an hour keep things cool and damp.
