Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly. And welcome to the New Hampshire Weather Podcast. It's Monday, February 23rd.. And folks, this is a stay home day.
A blizzard is hammering southern New Hampshire right now. Snow started falling hard at 5 A.M. And won't quit until 7 P.M. The worst hits around 9 A.M., when visibility drops to almost nothing. Portsmouth down through Manchester and Nashua, you're looking at 7 to 11 inches. Winds are screaming out of the north at 20 to 25 miles an hour, gusting to 45. That's whiteout territory on I-95 and the Spaulding Turnpike. Tonight temperatures crash to 17 degrees. Wind chills by 8 A.M. Tomorrow? Four degrees. The kind of cold that stings your lungs.
Now the coast gets a double punch. A coastal flood warning kicks in from 1 P.M. To 6 P.M. Storm surge of 2 to 3 feet plus 15 foot waves. That means flooding, beach erosi ...
