Significant gender inequalities persist globally in areas such as access to education and healthcare, pay parity, and representation in leadership, on top of problems such as experiences of violence and discrimination. According to WEF, it will take more than 132 years to close the gender gap worldwide - a number that peaked following the pandemic.
Yet, improving gender equity is the key driver to achieving individual, social, and economic prosperity, and addressing and meeting women’s health needs is an imperative part of it. The digital age bears vast opportunities, and technology can play a vital role in tackling inequalities and generating positive change.
