But folks, step outside right now and that west wind will bite you through your coat. Winter's still got some fight left. Southeast Michigan tops out at 36 degrees today. Scattered snow showers taper off before 1 P.M., then just clouds. Slide west and Grand Rapids sits at 31 degrees. Feels colder with that wind cutting across the lake. Now push north.. Whole different story. Northern Michigan barely cracks 21 degrees. Wind chills in the single digits. The kind of cold that makes your eyes water before you reach the mailbox.
