Today in Season 4, Episode 76, I chat with Dr Jamie Whitfield. He's a researcher and senior lecturer at the ACU in Melbourne. We discuss use of supplements in physical performance, specifically nitrates, sodium-bicarbonate and caffeine. Jamie was the first exercise physiologist I have had this podcast, and having a background in applied science myself too, I was all ears as he discussed these unique and topical supplements and their relevance to performance in endurance sport.
