Don Cox joins the JMO Podcast to share stories from the past. From the Sandhills in Nebraska, Don and his fishing partner Dave Fehlhafer have been an ice fishing duo going back to the early 90's when they started competed in tournaments. The ice fishing tournament scene attracted many of the top anglers across the midwest in those days. In this interview we hear from Don what it was like to start from the bottom as beginners and work up to become champions against the best competition of the time. We dive deeper into what strategies they implemented and how they evolved as anglers along the way. Nowadays Don and Dave spend their time on the ice more recreationally, traveling and breaking down new water with some of the same vigor and haste as they did in competition.
