Your car groaned when you started it this morning, didn't it? That's the cold we're working with right now.. But folks, this is just the opening act. Today stays brutal. Central Iowa barely cracks twenty-one degrees by four P.M. Eastern Iowa? You'll hit twenty-two around two P.M. Western Iowa does a bit better at twenty-seven by three P.M.. And the Quad Cities matches that. Light winds for most of us, though the Quad Cities sees gusts to fifteen miles an hour early. Here's where it gets weird. Tonight, temperatures actually *climb* while you sleep. Central Iowa drops to twelve around six P.M., then rises to twenty-one by morning.
