Black Eyes (Dan Caldas and Mike Kanin)

For this episode of the Ghost Canyon Fest podcast, Jeremy and Sean were joined by Dan Caldas and Mike Kanin of the legendary Washington D.C. band Black Eyes. Formed in 2001, the dual-vocal/dual-bass/dual-drum band released an incredible self-titled debut through Dischord Records in 2003 which showcased their frenetic approach to dub-influenced post punk. After an extensive touring and recording schedule, the band broke up in 2004 shortly before the release of their second album "Cough", which saw them add saxophone and push their sound further into experimental territory.
