This week I have my brother by another mother, Ozzie Coto on with me. He is such a kind and wise soul and he knows a lot about transformation after losing a portion of his hand at 11 years old. He has helped me personally so much in calming myself and accepting things even when I’m feeling hectic. He has some tips for us, and we had a wonderful conversation for which I am grateful. Last episode, the Paramedics transporting me from the physical rehabilitation center to the hospital for a swallow test realized that I was having a medical emergency. They took me to the emergency room instead ultimately saving my life AGAIN. I thought I had pneumonia again. I was in a lot more trouble than I realized. Trigger Warning/Sensitive Content After 2 months in a medically induced coma, I awakened happy and grateful. I was facing many more challenges than I knew, but within the first week I understood most of them. How could I possibly overcome all the medical problems I had? And how would I maintain my sanity when I was so wrought with anxiety and fear? This week I’ll discuss the details of my health condition at the time and how my issues were resolved. From repeated pneumonia to learning to walk again, we’ll cover it all. More importantly, I’ll discuss how and what I felt. The story continues! Last week we finished with me in the ambulance. That first night was the longest of my life, although I was in a medically induced coma, for the majority of it. That’s when my soul began living a life of it’s own. You could say I was dreaming, but it was so much more. My husband kept a digital diary every day that I was in the coma so that I would know the things that happened. After awakening and reading that diary, I was able to understand that my dreams during the coma, were not dreams at all. I was interacting with my surroundings.
