The other day my girlfriend and I took my niece out for pizza, ice cream, and a trip to the park. It wasn’t a big event, just a simple after-birthday celebration and a chance to spend some one-on-one time with her.

In this episode I talk about why moments like that matter. The days go by fast, and the little ones in our lives won’t stay little forever. One day she’ll be grown, living her own life, maybe with kids of her own.

If taking the time to create a simple day of fun gives her one golden memory she can look back on someday when life gets hard, then I’ve done my job as a proud funcle.

Sometimes the smallest moments are the ones that last the longest.
