We interview Christopher D.E. Willoughby is a historian of slavery and medicine in the United States and a Visiting Assistant Professor of the History of Medicine and Health at Pitzer College in Claremont, California. He is the author of the book Masters of Health: Racial Science and Slavery in U.S. Medical Schools, which will be published this November by the University of North Carolina Press (https://uncpress.org/book/9781469672120/masters-of-health/), and with Sean Morey Smith, he edited the book Medicine and Healing in the Age of Slavery.
