[See 1Co 1:1; 2Co 1:1; Gal 1:1; Php 1:1.] Why? Because the others were writing to people who were present, and it would have been superfluous for them to have announced themselves when they were present. But Paul sent his writings from a distance and in the form of a letter, and so he had to add his name.
