[§177] The Two Witnesses Fulfill the Sign of Jonas [Jonah]

This podcast talks about the sign of Jonah (Greek. Jonas). Jesus Christ, mentioned the sign of Jonah when he was asked by the Pharisees and the Sadducees for a sign. He said that a wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign and none would be given except the sign of Jonas (Matt 12:40). The sign of Jonas was that as Jonah was literally in the belly of a great fish for three days and three nights, Christ would be in the belly of the earth for three days and three nights after his death and until his resurrection.

The sign of Jonas was given as a source of condemnation for the unbelieving Jews rather than a source of blessing.
