Note sull'episodio

A series of complex crises, including gang violence, poverty, natural disasters, socioeconomic crises, and food insecurity, have generated migration from countries in Central America, including El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. In 2021, more than 307,000 people on the move, mainly from these four countries, were apprehended in Mexico and redirected to the authorities. This report presents the key drivers of migration and highlights the risks faced while in transit.
