The recent Southern California fires were the most devastating and costly in United States history. At least 29 people lost their lives in the catastrophe. However, the number of lives saved by unsung heroes in law enforcement and other emergency services is in the hundreds and possibly thousands. Two of those heroes are Corporal Barry Glockson and Officer Pedro Sanchez of the Pasadena Police Department. They share their recollections of and response to the Eaton fire that destroyed most of Altadena and large portions of Pasadena.
