This podcast explains how the redemption of Zion in Missouri will occur during the 3 1/2 years after the gathering of saints at Adam-ondi-Ahman and before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. The podcast includes a discussion about the origin and meaning of the name Zion and how it applies to geographical locations as well as to the condition of the Lord's chosen people. The early saints in this gospel dispensation lost their inheritance in Zion in Missouri because they failed to build the temple at Independence Missouri and also failed to live the law of consecration or United Order, as it was then called. For these transgressions, the saints were persecuted and driven from the state of Missouri in 1838-1839 under the threat of an extermination order issued by Governor Lilbun Boggs.
