On Halloween in 2017, Shantell was riding in the passenger seat of a friend’s vehicle when gunshots rang out. She was fatally struck while her friends were dropping off a child, en route to New Orleans to celebrate the holiday. Since that night, the case has remained painfully unsolved, and public information about it is almost nonexistent.
