To stay in the expectant state:

  1. Be flexible/ adaptable
  2. Take action consistently (daily, weekly)
  3. Be patient with yourself
  4. Visualize your success (what do you hear, see, and feel when you have accomplished your goal?)
  5. Practice mindfulness- whatever that looks like for you. (reading, running, fitness. etc).
  6. Track progress (use a journal, app, etc)
  7. Expect your outcome (know that you will accomplish your goal)
  8. Try not to compare yourself with others (focus on what you have to do in your own life)
