The next day, everyone pursues small chores: Thasgar seeks a new sword as his old one from Royal service to the Marshall as a deputy is getting worn and won’t hold an edge. Flaena decides to shop for materials and new clothing while Gaiwan consults with his mentor, Mage Trimbul, about the crystal he received for safekeeping from the King of Dragons – he hopes it might serve to replace the scrying crystal destroyed by the Spectre, unaware of what’s hidden in its depths.
