Having grown up in the Downtown Eastside, Demitri immersed himself into his surroundings; earning his NCCP level one Coaching Certificate at the
Aboriginal Friendship Center, working at Britannia sports camps and coaching a Fastbreak Basketball Program at his Alma mater Strathcona Community Center.
He works with North Shore Basketball and the Real Basketball League of Vancouver (RBL).
Demitri played basketball professionally in the NBL for the Prince Edward Island storm as well as in the ABA for several different teams.
