I have been an admirer of her work for a long time and felt privileged to read this personal account of her early experiences dealing with the grief of losing her father at the height of COVID. I integrate my thoughts of the book with my current understanding of grief taken from personal experiences so far, and what I have learned to be true about the process while working with patients dealing with the loss of a loved one.
