🎙️ The CidSpace Podcast: Voices Beyond the System by CidSpace

Episode notes

As a PhD candidate in Legal Studies at Carleton University and a part-time criminology professor at the University of Ottawa, he dedicates his work to understanding and challenging systems of criminalization and punishment. A member of the Criminalization and Punishment Education Project, Jeffrey is actively involved in advocacy efforts that seek to support incarcerated individuals and their loved ones.

A queer settler living on the unceded and unsurrendered Algonquin Anishinaabe territory (so-called Ottawa), he approaches his work with a critical lens on justice, accountability, and human rights. His journey into prison justice reform has been one of both scholarship and activism, driven by a belief in the power of education and community support to create meaningful change.
