Edwina Masson is my guest this week, a musician and mum of one based on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia.

Edwina was born in Brisbane and moved 5 states before she was 10 years old. She didn't have a lot of stability in her home life but her constant was the music that she listened to as a family, Paul Kelly, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Ella Fitzgerald and classical music. Edwina credits this time as the reason she gravitates towards music to cope with stress and emotions. She started composing music in year 5 on Garage Band, and began to develop a love for harmony. During high school she was music captain and sang, played clarinet and double bass. After high school she decided she was going to be a singer, much to the surprise of her family, and went on to study performing arts at university, and lectured also.
