Frederick contracted jaundice & his vacation with Catherine was cancelled, all due to his excessive use of alcohol. He’s lucky he wasn’t charged & court-martialed. Ever the stoic, he doesn’t seem to care what happens to him or her, knowing he will soon be sent back to the front line of the fighting.

In this episode, we will continue reading Ernest Hemingway’s novel A Farewell to Arms. Last time, we finished chapter TWENTY-TWO of book TWO, & now I will continue the story with chapter TWENTY-THREE. After reading the chapter, I will follow up with quick facts & my impressions.
