Episode 39: The Widow's Oil

Hey friends! Welcome back to Strong and Courageous. Today’s story comes from 2 Kings 4, and it’s about a woman who thought she had nothing—but God showed her He can do a lot with a little.

There was a widow who was very poor. She had no money, and she only had a small jar of oil left. The prophet Elisha told her, ‘Go and borrow as many empty jars as you can from your neighbors. Don’t just get a few—get a lot!’ So she and her sons gathered jars from all over the neighborhood. Then, she started pouring her little bit of oil into the jars. And something amazing happened—the oil never ran out! Every jar was filled until there were no jars left. God had provided more than enough.
