In the third episode of Mavericks, a brand new Streets Won't Forget Podcast mini-series, we look at the men who popularised the maverick. The Magnificent Seven.

In the late 1960s and early 1970s, Rodney Marsh, Stan Bowles, Charlie George, Frank Worthington, Peter Osgood, Alan Hudson and Tony Currie dazzled on the pitch with there incredible talents, and got up to plenty of antics off it too.

They were loved by the fans, but England managers didn't share the same feeling, and their failure on the international stage is something that has plagued the maverick ever since.
